Our First Extended Edition Kinetacube Ring Box features a matte black or blue anodized finish on its CNC-machined aluminum enclosure. Within the box, a silk satin wrapped pillow protects the ring when closed and presents the ring when opened.
Included in every starfield ring box are laser-engraved custom messages and exterior patterns. Messages and starfield parameters are positioned discretely on a panel edge where they're visible while the box is open but concealed when closed. Star exterior engravings are applied identically on all six faces of the cube. Star fields depict the night sky at a specific time, date, and location chosen by the buyer.
The launch of this Extended Edition is the practical realization of a stable Kinetacube Ring Box design following its refinement over the last five Limited Editions. The design, construction, and final quality of this ring box are identical to that of our Fifth Limited Edition Kinetacube Ring Boxes. The most significant change from LE5 to EE1 is its rolling production which eliminates serialization and sequential order piece assignment.
About the Ring Box:
In the Kinetacube Ring Box's patented design, six faces of a cube are formed by the links of a mobius kaleidocycle mechanism. With each face mapped to an individual link, the entirety of the box transforms during the opening process, revealing its contents in one fluid motion. Its single degree of freedom movement results in motion which is fluid, satisfying, and will continue to mesmerize even years after introduction.
Inside of the ring box's machined aluminum mechanism, a silk satin wrapped pillow is installed to carry the box's contents. While closing, the insert's segmented design is wrapped around the ring, holding it securely in place. When opened, the foam insert flattens while continuing to grip safely onto the ring.
To permit opening of the ring box's mechanism, its back has a curved opening which is covered by its silk satin wrapped insert while closed. The pointed ends of three curved panels act as feet which allow the box to sit on its end.
