Golden Fold – 32" all-Mounted Origami in 24K Gold Leaf

This is a single 32-inch veneer origami piece, precision-folded and hand-finished with 24K gold leaf. Delivered ready to hang, it brings architectural geometry and raw material opulence into quiet alignment.

The structure consists of 273 individual facets connected by 527 creases, each one hand-folded into its final form. The fold pattern is mathematically derived, numerically defined, and laser-patterned through a tri-layer laminate of natural wood veneer, structural aluminum, and flexible paper backing. A 0.003" Kapton film is laminated to the reverse to reinforce critical joints and prevent fatigue during handling, humidity cycles, and long-term display.

Each facet is individually gilded using genuine 24K gold leaf—a slow, meticulous process that transforms a geometric puzzle into an unapologetic visual statement. The entire structure is securely mounted to a rigid backer to prevent sagging or deformation of the crease pattern over time.

It casts soft, shifting shadows that evolve throughout the day, and holds its form with satisfying precision at this scale. It arrives folded, finished, and ready to hang on standard picture wall hardware—pre-installed and included in the shipment.
